Description
Alto Adige Lagrein DOC from the renowned South Tyrolean cooperative winery Sankt Michael Eppan/San Michele Appiano is a red wine that belongs to the classic line, created to best express the art of traditional South Tyrolean winemaking. A typical wine, the fruit of an indigenous grape variety cultivated since the 14th century, Lagrein, whose grapes, vinified in purity, give a product with a fresh and deep sip. This special South Tyrolean red takes shape from grapes from vineyards grown in Gries, which are harvested by hand in early October, and once at the winery are pressed, then the must is fermented in stainless steel, after which the Alto Adige Lagrein DOC ages for 8 months in large wooden barrels. The result is a classy red that emerges for its structured and aromatic body. A wine of great balance and good persistence, for a truly unique label that, thanks to its beautiful evolution, has good aging potential.
