Description
Cantina Imperatori’s project is to rediscover the native grape varieties cultivated in the Roman countryside before the phylloxera crisis and to reinterpret them in a modern way. Thus, Cesanese, the only native red grape variety of Lazio—which has always been characteristic of this region but has only been rediscovered for its quality in recent years—has, despite its challenges and typical rough edges, managed to adapt exceptionally well thanks to loose, well-drained soils that enhance its complexity and elegance.
